This step forward is more than introducing a new look or an adorable mascot; it represents our growth alongside our riders and the broader Alexandria community.
While our look may be changing, we are staying true to founding values and principles, being a community-first transit agency. We remain dedicated to providing the same safe, reliable, and convenient bus service throughout the City of Alexandria we have been for more than 40 years.
Since 1984, DASH has grown from a small, commuter-focused transit service into a vibrant, essential part of everyday life. Over the years, we’ve expanded routes, modernized our fleet, improved accessibility, and deepened our connection with the communities we serve. We help connect people to what matters most, and our refreshed visual identity pays tribute to that journey while looking to the future for where we’re going next.
As we shift gears and move toward our next destination, the new logos highlight the best parts of our identity by enhancing them and making them more approachable. The logos symbolize our vision for a more connected, inclusive, and sustainable future and the DASH Difference—our commitment to continuous improvement in everything we do from customer service to system excellence.
