For 16 consecutive days (including 10 commuting days) from August 11 – 26, Metro will conduct around the clock construction on a segment of the Orange, Blue and Silver lines resulting in limited capacity, crowding and delays. During this period, Blue Line trains will only operate between Franconia-Springfield and Arlington Cemetery; additional Yellow Line trains will provide service during weekday rush hours between Franconia-Springfield and Greenbelt. Customers traveling between Virginia and Downtown DC should use the Yellow Line instead.
All Orange, Blue and Silver line customers are encouraged to use alternate transportation and to only use Metrorail if you have no other option.
