[Lines 33/34/36] Potomac Ave/Potomac Yard Metro bus loop closure Sun 4/13 8:30a-11a

On Saturday, April 13 from 7:00 am until 12:30 pm, buses will not enter Potomac Yard Metro due to a road closure on Potomac Ave. Buses will also skip other stops in the Potomac Yard area. Passengers using Metrorail will find temporary bus stops at the intersection of Dogue St and Wesmond Dr (behind Target). The Metrorail station is open, and rail service will operate normally. Normal service will resume once roads reopen, which may be sooner than 12:30 pm.

Passengers transferring to Metrorail will find temporary bus stops at the intersection of Dogue St and Wesmond Dr (behind Target).

Routes normally serving Bay B at the station will board on Dogue St behind Target instead:

  • 33 Southbound to King St Metro
  • 34 Southbound to Lee Center
  • 36A/B Westbound to Mark Center
(Location of temporary Bus Bay B)

Routes ending at the shopping center, normally serving Bay A at the station, will board on Dogue St across from Target instead.

These temporary stops are approximately 450ft away from the normal stops at Potomac Yard Station; passengers should add an additional 10-15 minutes to their travel time.

During the closure, there will be NO BUS SERVICE to the following stops:

  • 4009982 - Potomac Yard Center & E Reed Av (stop moved across E Reed Av)
  • 4000473 - “North Potomac Yard” (in front of Total Wine/Amazon Fresh)
  • 4009981/4009987 - Potomac Yard Metro Bays A & B (relocated to Dogue St & Wesmond Dr)
  • 4001111/4001112 - E Glebe Rd & Potomac Av (both sides)
